Training for university and school teachers

The European Language Institute runs continuous training courses for school and university teachers. Teachers who want to develop professionally can take specialized courses that teach teaching methods and strategies, as well as assessment and lesson planning.

Our international trainers and specialists are actively involved in the work of the Ministry of Education and the National Center for Quality Development and Education in developing language acquisition guidelines for higher education.

The aim of the teacher training center is to improve the quality of foreign language teaching (German, English) at Georgian schools and universities and to prepare teachers for certification courses.
The practical and theoretical course will help teachers in methodical planning and preparation of lessons.
As part of the educational reforms, a major role is assigned to the acquisition of modern knowledge and skills that are adapted to Western standards.
The surveys in Georgian schools and universities and the analysis of the processes in schools and universities have convinced us that foreign language teachers need to expand their methodological, communicative and intercultural skills. You also need corporations with schools and universities to plan and implement joint projects.
This project will give teachers the opportunity to learn about new innovative methods and technologies, exchange experiences among colleagues, receive practical recommendations and establish relationships with European colleagues.
The project contributes to the transfer of teaching techniques and strategies and takes into account the use of various social forms (group work) and is aimed at the interests and needs of the learners.
The training courses are conducted by highly qualified regional and foreign experts.

Structure and content
1. Teaching the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing
The module offers school teachers the new strategies and techniques for teaching foreign languages. After the course, the teachers will be able to implement modern methods of teaching foreign languages in the classroom.
2. Plan lessons
In the seminar, teachers will learn about modern teaching methods and lesson planning. You will familiarize yourself with goal-, content- and process-oriented teaching and learning methods and the use of various social forms and media. Types of exercises, development of the lesson plan based on the specified topic.
3. The methods of foreign language teaching based on communicative and intercultural conception.
