GALA
Owen Lombardi is our Academic Director for the Georgian-American Leadership Academy (GALA), a master teacher with dual undergraduate degrees in History and Secondary Education from Rutgers University, and a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. He has taught 9th and 11th graders in Piscataway, New Jersey, and Santa Fe New Mexico, as well as adults in graduate psychology and a variety of other adult learning programs, both in-person and online, in the US and internationally.
He is passionate about fostering learning, and empowering individuals to achieve their potential. As an entrepreneur, he helped maintain his family real estate business and expanded into his own property holdings.In his role as an educator, he thrives on sharing knowledge and inspiring growth, whether it’s through classroom teaching, workshops, mentoring, or curriculum development. As a counselor, he has worked in hospital IOP programs for substance abuse and addiction, teen shelters, and Partial Hospitalization Programs, as well as in private practice.
